About Us

Candace with Babies
Trinity with little Mochi
Elias with older Mochi

Hello! My name is Candace Johnson and I’d like you to meet the team behind CatNapPurr, a cat foster for Salem Friends of Felines.

As a family, we have always been a little cat crazy. I have grown up with and cared for cats of all kinds. Just this Spring, my daughter, Trinity, gave a presentation at school all about cats. Elias loves giving additional “pet names” to our cats. With time to dedicate to the care for cats and kittens, we applied to be fosters so we can spread the love to cats in need.

With my experience in web development, I decided to launch CatNapPurr to share the journey online, highlighting each cat under our care. Our mission is to help Salem Friends of Felines gain exposure for these sweet babies so they can find a forever home.

In addition, Salem Friends of Felines is supported by the community through volunteers, fosters, and donations. If you, or someone you know, would like to further the organization’s mission either with your time or by donation, please visit their website to discover the numerous ways you can help.

Resident Cats

Babies, our 9 year old resident cat

Babies, 9 years

When my parents moved across the country, they worried about the trip for him so we took him in. He loves his catnaps and his wet food. He also sits patiently at the table when we eat together, just one of the family.

Mochi, 1 year 3 months

We adopted Mochi (formally Spalding) from Salem Friends of Felines when he was a kitten. He loves to have conversations, play hide and seek and adores playing fetch with bristly paintbrushes.
